RENÈE Y. MOORE, PSY.D.

Renèe Y. Moore, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the state of Alabama/1785, and she has the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) under PSYPACT/13725. Dr. Moore received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University and obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology – Adlerian Concentration from Bowie State University.


As it relates to academia, Dr. Moore has taught as a Full-time Lecturer at Morgan State University, and she taught at Sojourner- Douglass College, Baltimore, MD campus as well as Northern Virginia Community College. She has years of clinical experience in the behavioral health field, to include, cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, consultation services, and psychological evaluations and testing.


Dr. Moore has been trained in suicide prevention, applied suicide intervention, suicide alertness, and prevention, response and recovery for violence in the workplace. She has worked with multiple populations to include but not limited to trauma survivors; incarcerated adults; adjudicated youth; individuals diagnosed with HIV; and the Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual and more.


Within the Department of Corrections, Dr. Moore has coordinated a women’s treatment program as well as worked in the Intensive Mental Health Unit with incarcerated men. While providing therapy to the HIV and LGBTQIA+ populations, she became interested in understanding the relationship between HIV, chronic pain and suicide which led to her research in this area.
